What is Mindfulness:
Mindfulness is a way of paying attention to, and seeing clearly whatever is happening in our lives. It will not eliminate life's pressures, but it can help us respond to them in a calmer manner that benefits our heart, head, and body. It helps us recognise and step away from habitual, often unconscious emotional and physiological reactions to everyday events. It provides us with a scientifically researched approach to cultivating clarity, insight, and understanding. Practicing mindfulness allows us to be fully present in our life and work, and improve our quality of life.

Managing Parkinsons Disease with CBT/Mindfulness:
Parkinson’s disease affects thousands of people in the UK; the impact of the condition on individuals and their families can be devastating. Until recently comparatively little attention has been paid to the emotional and psychological impact of the condition.
NWT Services has undertaken to provide non-pharmacological interventions, particularly for depression, anxiety and cognitive rehabilitation as and when needed. Within a group setting we have provided Mindfulness & CBT based programmes, which has had a positive impact on those who have been part of it.
Individual or group sessions are available and affordable so call now for more information.
8 Week Mindfulness Programme for Depression & Anxiety:
Mindfulness meditation has been shown to give patients control over their own depression and anxiety levels and levels of chronic pain, according to a paper published earlier this month in the journal Frontiers in Human Neuroscience.
Previous studies have found that mindfulness meditation can cut the recurrence of depression by 50%, and neuroimaging scans have shown significant positive change in brain activity of long-term meditators.
Consultation and individual treatment: £45.00 - £60 depending on Licensed Practitioner
Subsidised rates for Individual treatment with Parkinsons patients and their carers.
Group rate for Mindfulness £80 for 8 week programme
“I was already familiar with the mindfulness practice, but Emily helped me to open and widen my understanding, and to strengthen the connection between mindfulness practice and my everyday life. Emily has found the perfect balance between gently supporting individuals whilst holding the group energy. Her empathy touched me very deeply and I will always be grateful for those 8 weeks."

“Katie's teaching style went at just the right pace to keep us focussed on mindfulness for every day, she guided us through the course but also allowed us to come to our own conclusions about ways of using mindfulness to help us cope with the stressors of suffering from Parkinsons Disease. Because of this I find I am able to continue to benefit from mindfulness practices even though the course is over now”
Mindfulness Programme for patients with Cancer:
Scientific evidence shows that meditation can help to relieve particular symptoms and improve quality of life for people with cancer. Research has shown that it can
Improve your mood
Improve your ability to concentrate
Reduce severe depression and anxiety
Boost the immune system
(There is no evidence to suggest that meditation can help to prevent, treat or cure your cancer or any other disease).
